GPS Navigation Weekends

These residential weekends at the YHA Borrowdale are very popular with our customers being very reasonable priced and set in fabulous walking country as well as being great fun with good company. GPS Training have teamed up with Cumbria Tourist Board, Jennings Brewery, and the Youth Hostel Association to provide the best ever Navigation Events

2009 will be our forth season of running these residential events at Borrowdale YHA, located in one of the most scenic valleys in the Lake-District with great walking right out of the door. They will provide action packed and fun weekends with opportunities to learn how to use Map, Compass, and GPS and combine all this with Digital Mapping Software. There will be opportunities to acquire new skills, have fun and become involved in the growing sport of Geocaching

We have rebooked again for 2009 with the weekend running from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October the good news is we will be holding the price at £149 pp for the weekned.

Run as series of workshops each one run by one of the GPST experts. The difficulty for those attending is to choose which workshop or practical experience will improve their navigation skills the most, workshops are designed to improve basic skills in a practical hands on way.

Follow up the skills learnt following any one of a series of Geotrails set in the Borrowdale Valley, either with one of the team on hand for guidance or strike out on your own.
