Lowrance and the UK Outdoors Market
As a bit of background information Lowrance have been in the business of manufacturing GPS and mapping solutions since the concept of the GPSS system. It would be fair to say that to date in the UK and Europe their products are aimed at the marine market where their procusts are recognised as the best available.
The Endura range of handheld GPS units already established in the USA (I lifted this info on the Sierra from their website) is coming to us very soon (probably in November). All the units offer colour touchscreens and acess to full OS mapping at 50k scale on plug and play SD cards, each card will hold half GB
As soon as we have the promised evaluation units we will post a review on this page, where you will also find full details on the pricing structure for the units and maps. For more info on the balance of the Endura range visit the Lowrance website.
