Chris & Dave will be there and will be making available several local walks for you to sample to download the walks visit this page on the Walkingworld website we recommend that you download any walks you wish to do before the event. Our friends Jon & Jane Monks of Shepherds Walks will be attending and running Nordic Walking taster sessions with six workshops arranged over the day - to book onto one of the taster sessions or to get more information & booking use these links. Jon will also be on hand to give advice on their guided walking holidays & Capricorn socks.
We hope you'll come along and join us; as well as the workshops and activities there will be a welcome drink (tea, coffee or soft drinks and a biscuit) and the opportunity to chat to the GPST Team and get hands-on with GPS & Geocaching on our Chirp multi-cache geotrail.
Chirp is a wireless geocaching beacon; to take part in the Chirp multi-cache geotrail you will need one of the new generation of wireless friendly Garmin GPS (New etrex 30, Dakota 20, Oregon, GPSMap62 or Montana ranges) - bring your own or loan one of ours on the day.
We will give you the co-ordinates for the first geocache in the trail; when you arrive at the first cache location you will be able to download the next cache in the trail wirelessly and so on until you've completed the trail.
