Hillwalking Courses in the Lakes

2 Night Residential Courses - £179pp

3 Night Residential Courses - £239pp

GPS Training and Walkingworld are working together to provide premium weekend courses. They will give keen 'flat ground' walkers all the skills they need to plan and follow routes and stay safer on Britain's hills. They will be intensely practical courses centered around the planning and execution of a high-level route on a real Lakeland fell.

Participants will be given a grounding in all the methods of route preparation and navigation from traditional map & compass work to digital mapping and GPS.

Much of the learning will take place 'on the hill' as part of a small group with an expert trainer, the aim being to equip walkers with the well-rounded skills needed to venture onto Britain's hills with confidence.

We promise you an action-packed and interesting holiday in good company, set in one of the most scenic areas of the Lake District National Park.

The culmination will be the challenge of climbing one of Lakeland's mountains while putting all your new-found navigation skills into practice
