The Satmap Active 10 is a handheld GPS unit with colour screen, high sensitive GPS receiver, electronic compass and SD card slot to allow access to Satmap's growing range of UK (Ordnance Survey) and International maps on plug & play pre-programmed SD cards (not included)

Key to making the most of the Satmap's navigational features are maps; the whole ethos of the unit is to allow you to navigate using the map page. Navigation is made easy when you either create a marker or single point on the map or a simple route ahead, all of which depends on having a map in the screen of course.

Whilst you can create route & trails on your PC and transfer them to the Satmap using SatSYNC; we have found the Satmap like many mapping hendheld GPS units offers a completely new way of navigation using the map page of the GPS and in our opinion the Satmap is in a class of its own in this respect.

We've been beta testing firmware update 1.4 due to be released in November 09; we're sure all Satmap users are going to very excited with the upgraded features included in the firmware release.

We've been working on some navigational guidance for Satmap users for both our Courses and our OnLIne Resource: so we've used the beta testing to produce a set of step by step guides which will be added to our OnLine Resource as soon as we can after the firmware update is released.
