Website Terms & Conditions

Delivery

We endeavour to dispatch all stock items within two days (Monday to Friday), however if this is not possible we will contact you. We use Royal Mail (second class) for all consignments under £150.00 and Special Delivery or a Courier for any orders over this amount. We aim to keep all items on the website in stock, however if we have temporarily sold out of your chosen item we will contact you directly with an expected delivery date. If this is unacceptable you are free to re-select or cancel your order.

Payment


All items must be paid for in full before we can dispatch them or before bookings for walks/courses can be confirmed. Payments are made through Barclaycard CPI. This is a PCI compliant on-line payment system.

Postage and Packing

UK Mainland: All of our orders carry a £3.95 delivery charge unless otherwise stated or if the order only contains a course/walk booking or downloadable material.

If your delivery destination is beyond the UK mainland we will email you with the estimated delivery cost and you can then tell us if you wish to proceed with the order on that basis.

- Returns and Refunds -

Our Returns Policy

Under the 'Distance Selling Regulations you have a 14 days 'cooling off period' after you have received the goods.

You can return your purchase to us in its original unused condition within 14 days of the date you received the item and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item.

Any seals and packaging the product came in must be included and not damaged. Labels (including security labels (silver foil type on GPS units) or tags must also be attached and any clothing must be unworn.

Please also see our 'refunds policy' below which explains how you will be refunded if you send an item back to us in this 14 day period.

Damaged, defective and wrong item

In the event of GPS Training (part of Northumbrian Shepherds Walks) sends you a replacement for a damaged, defective or wrong item, you must return the original item to GPS Training (part of Northumbrian Shepherds Walks) before we can despatch the replacement item.

GPS Training (part of Northumbrian Shepherds Walks) reserves the right to charge the price of the original order if you do not return the original item to us within 30 days.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

If the item becomes defective (after 30 days of receipt)

Please keep all the warranty information that accompanies your item as this may be required by the manufacturer, should there be a fault. The manufacturer will be in a better position than the retailer to offer assistance with technical problems affecting its products.

In the unlikely event that you have a faulty item, you will find it quicker and easier to contact the manufacturer directly so that they can rectify the problem for you. In a case where the item has become defective after 30 days, you can of course contact us to obtain manufacturer contact details or returns information.

If we sent you an item you did not order (an "incorrect" item)

As soon as you find out we've sent you an incorrect item please call GPS Training (part of Northumbrian Shepherds Walks) on 01669 621044 or e-mail us – info@shepherdswalks.co.uk. Send the incorrect item back to us. If you want us to replace the item we sent you we'll send you the correct item as soon as we can. If not we will offer you a full refund.

Our refunds policy does not affect your statutory rights.

When you send your item back to we'll process the returned item then notify you via e-mail of your refund.

You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 7 - 10 days of our receiving your return.

As we do not hold your card details on file we may have to contact you to get these, so we can refund a debit or credit card.

How Refunds Are Calculated

Items returned because they are damaged, defective or incorrect

If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or, in accordance with our returns policy, because it is damaged or defective, we will refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and pay your costs of returning it to us.

GPS Training (part of Northumbrian Shepherds Walks) will check all items returned as damaged or defective. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right to re-charge you for the item/s and to recover our fees and expenses from you.

Items returned within the fourteen-day cooling off period


By law, customers located in the European Union also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within fourteen days of the day after the date the item is delivered.

Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the fourteen day cooling-off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item and the cost of sending the item to you as follows:

•    where you are returning an item that was part of a larger order, we'll refund the per-item charge for delivery that you incurred at time of order.

•    where you are returning an entire order, we'll refund applicable per-item delivery charges and the per-delivery charge that you incurred.

•    we will refund only standard (airmail) postage charges for items delivered outside the UK

•    where we collect an item from you, we reserve the right to recover the costs of collection from you.

•    You will be liable and pay for the item to be returned to Shepherds Walks.

GPS Training - Booking Terms & Conditions: 

 

GPS Training courses -  Terms and Conditions

It is essential that you read, understand and accept the following terms and conditions prior to making a booking for one of our courses. 

1. BOOKINGS 

Once a booking has been made by internet, by telephone or by post and the course fees paid, the booking becomes firm. By making a firm booking, you are 

Entering into a contract. Your contract is with GPS Training, which is part of Northumbrian Shepherds Walks

Bookings are only accepted in Sterling. If you pay by credit card in another currency, you will be responsible for any currency conversion costs incurred. 

You will receive a written confirmation by email (if you gave us your email address) or by post (if you have no email address). Please bring this to the course as proof of booking. If you cancel your booking, you may be entitled to a refund as explained in section 2 and 3 below. 

2. PAYMENT OF BALANCE OF COURSE FEE 

All courses must be paid in full at the time of booking

3. CANCELLATION & AMENDMENT BY YOU 

Cancellation of UK based GPS day courses only 

If you wish to cancel your course booking, you must notify us in writing (by post or email). The cancellation only takes place from the date that the notification is received by us. Cancellations will be accepted up to 2 weeks before the date of the course and the fee paid less a £10 administration fee (including VAT) will be refunded. 

Course fees will not be refunded if cancellation is made less than 2 weeks before the date of the course irrespective of the reason. You are strongly advised to take out personal insurance to cover this risk. See section 5 below. 

Amendment of all course

i) If you are unable to take up your course, you may arrange for someone else to attend/ go in your place provided that you notify us in writing (by post or email) at least 7 days before the course. A £10 administration charge (including VAT) will be charged to your credit card for this service. 

ii) If you wish to transfer your booking for a UK based GPS day course to another date you must request this in writing (by post or email). The transfer request date is logged as the date that the notification is received by us. Transfer requests will only be accepted up to 2 weeks before the starting date of the original course and subject to space being available on the other course date requested. A £10 administration charge (including VAT) will be charged to your credit card for this service. 

4. MINIMUM NUMBERS 

We reserve the right to cancel a course if insufficient places have been sold to make it viable. If this happens we will endeavour to give you at least two weeks’ notice prior to the course date. If you would prefer to transfer your place to an alternative available course date we will do this for you, otherwise we will give you a full refund. 

5. INSURANCE 

We strongly advise you to arrange insurance to cover personal accident, cancellation of your holiday by yourselves or GPS Training, loss of personal effects and personal liability. GPS Training cannot accept responsibility for illness, injury or loss, other than that caused by our proven negligence. 

6. FORCE MAJEURE 

We will not be liable to pay any compensation if we are forced to cancel or change any aspect of the course due to circumstances beyond our control which we or our host location managers could not have reasonably foreseen or forestalled. Such circumstances include, but are not restricted to war or threat of war, terrorist activity, riots or civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire or bad weather. 

7. HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY 

GPS Training takes your health and safety very seriously. To ensure this, everything we do has your safety and wellbeing as an absolute priority. This is achieved through the implementation or our Health & Safety Policy. A copy of this is available at all course and holiday locations and is available on request from our office. 

It is your responsibility to inform the course leader and tutor of any medical condition that might affect your performance whilst walking in our company. 

8. INFORMATION 

Any statements, descriptions, illustrations, photographs, drawings or any other matters contained in our website, advertisements or other literature are made in good faith but are not guaranteed to be accurate and are intended merely to represent a general picture of our courses and shall not form any part of the contract between us. 

We reserve the right to improve our courses from time to time so that the descriptions as set out in our website, advertisements and other literature may not match identically with the actual course content and participant experience.  

9. COMPLAINTS 

We will try to resolve any problems as soon as you notify us of them. If you want to complain during the course, please inform your Course Leader. If the problem cannot be resolved to your satisfaction, please notify our head office in writing within 14 days of the completion of the course, setting out the full details of the complaint. We will reply to you within 14 days of the receipt of your letter. 

10. ONLINE RESOURCE 

Our Online courses are provided, maintained and controlled by GPS Training entirely at our discretion. The purchase of an online training course from GPS Training in no way guarantees any right of access to the online resource. By signing up for our online resource you agree to GPS Training using your email address to send you a copy of their monthly newsletter; you can unsubscribe at any time. 

11. YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS 

We do not pass on your personal details or email address to a third party.
