Garmin European Recreation Map
Thu 16th July 2015
You get the Garmin Garmin European Recreation Map on the t versions of Garmin units - Oregon 600t, Oregon 650t and Montana 650t, but what is this mapping and how good is it?
Here at GPS Training we think it is a good basemap if you travel lots around Europe. So if you are someone who spends a few months every year touring around Europe in Caravan it is certainly worth getting, so you get some good quality basic mapping.
But saying that it is not suitable for walking with, we would then look at the Open Street mapping options we have.
So what is the scale and coverage of the Garmin European Recreational mapping and what areas does it cover?
Garmin European Recreation Map is at a 1:100.000 scale and covers 44 countries across Western and Eastern Europe.
